Denver
When CarloMaria walks around a city, he doesn’t look at the buildings. He looks at the people and the way they interact and experience their surroundings. Seeing the built environment through the eyes of its inhabitants gives him a deeper understanding of what a place wants and needs to be.
From high-rise buildings to shopping centers, CarloMaria is an expert at translating a client’s vision into places where people enjoy spending time. For example, he served as the brand lead designer for iFLY, an experiential retailer and leader in indoor skydiving, where he helped revitalize their brand and facilities worldwide.
Originally trained in architecture, CarloMaria is adept at marrying multiple design disciplines to create places that inspire people to connect with their surroundings. He has worked on projects from Hong Kong to Mexico City and has lectured on parametric design and digital fabrication at the New York Center for Architecture and at universities in the US, Europe, and Asia.
