Carl is a seasoned Fintech veteran with over 20 years of leadership experience in technology, financial services and payments. Carl is currently CEO of Clearpay Finance Ltd., a subsidiary of Afterpay Touch Group, a Pay Later Fintech leader revolutionizing payments on 3 continents.
Previously, Carl founded and was CEO of Qi Pay Ltd. and from 2015 to 2017 was CCO at eNett, a leading online B2B supplier payments company. From 2012 to 2015, Carl served as EVP EMEA for MoneyGram, a global remittance company. From 2004 to 2012, Carl held a variety of leadership positions at PayPal, most recently serving as VP & Managing Director UK & Ireland. Prior to this, Carl was involved in a number of internet and technology start-ups and started his career with BCG and American Express.
He serves as advisor and NED to numerous Fintech start-ups including iwoca 2012 to 2015 and Mopay (now Boku) 2012 to 2015.
Carl holds a BA in Political Science from Michigan State University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
