Carl Amritt is a community organizer, 2016 Summer Fellow and Policy Coordinator for Democratic Access at the Roosevelt Institute. During his time at Roosevelt, he worked on extensively on a variety of issues relating to democracy including the restoration of voting rights of Americans with prior criminal backgrounds. Carl is currently working with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, a group of organizations across the state working to pass a constitutional amendment to restore the voting rights of millions of Florida residents. Carl has years of experience working on issues of the right to vote, having worked with organizations such as Andrew Goodman Foundation, Bard Prison Initiative, Civic Nation, League of Women Voters, and the ACLU. Carl is pursuing his MPA with a focus on Policy Development and Compliance from American University.
