Brooke Barsanti

Food & Wine Program Manager, Boston Center for Adult Education

Boston

Growing up as a lover of plain cheese sandwiches, Brooke Barsanti was not always captivated by the food world. Thanks to her giant Italian family…it was only a matter of time. Throughout the years her father (also in the industry) conned her into eating frog legs, cow tongues, and other mysterious treats she would eventually grow to love and appreciate. To Brooke, food is much more than nourishment. Food brings people together and inspires sharing, exploration, and conversation. She is particularly interested in food sourcing and sustainability. She someday hopes to create salads entirely from her own backyard. She also considers herself a fisher-lady. She can catch and cook her bounty!

Professionally, Brooke has had an array of experiences from hospitality and event planning, to education and recruitment. She currently utilizes her experiences to create the food & wine program at the Boston Center for Adult Education. She spends her days brainstorming and planning culinary classes and events by recruiting chefs, mixologists, distributors, farmers etc. to create an exciting, yet well-rounded program. In 2014 Brooke was recognized for her innovation as one of Zagat’s 30 Under 30 in Boston.
