    Brenda Rios Brombacher joined the Houston Community College team, to help direct and develop entrepreneurial initiatives within the student body and Houston entrepreneurial community. This includes developing strategic partnerships, lead and help develop, promote, and grow entrepreneurship in Houston.

    Previously, she was the Director of Operations for GriffinWorx, where in her day-to-day activities she administered all operations for entrepreneurship, GriffinWorx activities and methodology, strategic planning, and ecosystem growth strategies in more than 60 countries, and 65+ StartUp Cup Challenges and WECREATE Centers.

    Brenda also worked as a Federal Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, where she was part of developing a comprehensive IT Strategic Plan for the Overseas Buildings Operations Bureau at the State Department. She also was part of advancing a public-private partnership economic analysis and model for Mexico’s 2014 telecom reform, advising the Mexican federal government on the benefits and challenges of opening their telecom monopoly to foreign investment opportunities.

    Brenda was the Entrepreneurship Liaison at the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement (IPE), at the U.S. Department of State. In this role, Brenda explored how entrepreneurs can increase their participation in intellectual property, and how intellectual property frameworks can be best structured to meet socioeconomic needs of entrepreneurs world-wide. Ms. Rios also worked as a Program Specialist with the Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) team in the Office of Commercial and Business Affairs at the State Department. Her portfolio included engaging with partners and investors in the United States interested in deepening or expanding their entrepreneurial programs world-wide.
