I have always had a keen interest in creating experiences which have a positive impact on the user. My prior area of study, 3D animation, has many similarities with the UX design process. Both have a strong emphasis on sharing your ideas constantly so that you are able to iterate and improve based on feedback. Both place an importance on finding the correct design or narrative before committing resources, as it is more costly to correct mistakes further down the pipeline.

I've chosen to pursue UX because of the ways it challenges me to not only think about what the user wants and needs, but to also consider the requirements of the business and its stakeholders.
