Basil Beirouti

Basil is a data engineer with experience in data science and scientific research. Since he can remember he has always excelled at teaching people new concepts in a way that makes sense to them and is excited to continue to come up with the just the right analogy to "make it stick".

As a data scientist, he developed a text analytics application for service request routing for a multinational tech company headquartered in Hopkinton. The application was based on an information retrieval model in which historical service request data was used to determine how to assign new incoming service requests. The model was trained with historical data extracted and transformed from the client’s PostgreSQL data lake. The application had a 74% accuracy rate in the first release.
