Barbara Prowant

Barbara Prowant has more than 20 years of experience as a Corporate, Finance, and Securities attorney representing technology entrepreneurs and businesses. She began her professional career as a CPA working for KPMG Peat Marwick in Boston for four years prior to obtaining her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri, where she was the Managing Editor of the UMKC Law Review. After five years of practice in Kansas City, she moved to Seattle to work for Perkins Coie, LLP in 1999, and then started Prowant Law, PLLC in 2006. Her practice focuses on offerings of equity and debt securities, formation structures, angel and venture financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general business representation for both emerging and seasoned companies. Barbara has a strong sense of adventure, cultivated by growing up in five different countries, and loves working with entrepreneurs and emerging companies.
