Banjo has worked at restaurants in Adelaide, London, Sydney and Melbourne. In 2015 he completed a 5 year tenure as Restaurant Manager of internationally-acclaimed restaurant Attica. He went on to open casual wine bar/bistro Bar Liberty, which has already received national accolades.
He has twice been awarded ‘Best Sommelier in Australia’, and represented Australia at the ‘Meilleurs Sommelier du Monde’ competition in Argentina in 2016.
He is a constant student of wine, striving to complete his Master Sommelier certification. He is also a recognised wine judge, having been Chair of the Adelaide Review Hot 100 wine show for 3 years running.
Recently he has co-founded both an online wine sales business The Wine Gallery and a wine import/distribution business REAL Wines.
He no longer believes in weekends and drinks coffee tri-daily.
