Melbourne
I am originally from Nuremberg, Germany, growing up and studying there. I am interested in sports, travelling and exploring different cultures and food.
For my professional career I developed an interest in the field of technology greatly influenced by social media and the impact of the internet. It was one of the main reasons I decided to study computer science. As I got more and more involved in learning I enjoyed analyzing and finding patterns as well as developing applications and finding routines of solutions. I enjoyed working with new technologies and frameworks when I was doing my IT studies.
From my first semester of study I worked contact roles in various large companies, such as tech company Siemens to sports retail at adidas HQ in the Analytics domain. I learned how to break the glass ceiling in a department where men were dominating. For my Bachelor Thesis I developed a Deep Learning Model which was computing German real estate texts for real estate company, Immowelt. Since that experience I have worked on Data Science projects mainly in the field of Natural Language Processing.
At the moment I am working at REA, in the Dataservices tribe in the Consumer Insights team as a Developer.
