Starting as an IT Workstation Assistant, August learned at the beginning of her career the joy and satisfaction she found in helping others achieve their goals. Resolving user problems whether hardware or software related, she realized there was often a disconnect in how software was written and how it was actually used in the field. August began documenting these reemerging user themes, creating WIKIs and conducting user training sessions. Armed with this knowledge as a Programmer Analyst, she began using SDKs to automate tedious business processes resulting in reduced cost and increased user productivity. Now as a Software Engineer with 20 years of experience in technology, August seeks to continually bridge the gap between user expectation, productivity and design theory; providing a solution-based approach to solve user problems.
