Emmy-award winning journalist Ashley Goudeau is a public speaker and storyteller who currently serves as Weekend Morning Anchor and Political Reporter for KVUE News in Austin. After graduating from the Dan Rather School of Communications at Sam Houston State University, Goudeau worked behind the scenes at KIAH-TV in her hometown of Houston, Texas. A few months later, Central Texas came calling and Goudeau joined KCEN-TV in Waco, Texas as a reporter. In 2012, Goudeau moved to Austin to join the KVUE News team. In 2015, she was named "Emerging Business Leader of the Year" by the Austin Black Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed to the state's Election's Advisory Commission by the Texas Speaker of the House. Goudeau is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and serves on the executive board of Polished Austin. When she's not chasing news, she enjoys exploring Austin and cooking.
