Aryn Schlichting is the Founder of Mountain Careers and Deputy Director of Human Resources at Eagle County Government. With 15 years as an HR professional in the Vail Valley she finds excitement in attracting others to the mountain lifestyle, recruiting and understanding workforce development in mountain communities. Aryn founded Mountain Careers, a website reaching over 10,000 subscribers weekly with a job board, newsletter and network focused on helping professionals find careers in the best mountain towns. Her story has been told by Forbes and Powder Magazine proving that the mountains are no longer ‘just for seasonal ski bums’.
Originally from Chicago, Aryn was drawn to the mountains for college where she received her Bachelors degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Currently she enjoys getting involved in the local entrepreneur community, connecting people in her network and adventuring in the outdoor with her family.
