Annie Wheeler is the Digital Communications Coordinator at DC Central Kitchen, a non-profit that works fight hunger differently by using career training, job creation, and sustainable business practices to strengthen local food systems and reduce disparities in health and economic opportunity. In her role on the communications team, she creates digital content for newsletters and social media highlighting the five social ventures of DC Central Kitchen.
Annie started volunteering with DC Central Kitchen's national arm, The Campus Kitchens Project during her college years at St. Lawrence University and has been passionate about the mission and values of the organization ever since. Annie is also a member of General Assembly DC's Operations team. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors and photography.
