Andy Bates has worked in roles such as Chief Engineer, IT Director and Product Development Director across specialisms such as Networking, Identity, Mobile Networks, Cloud and Cyber Security. Over the past 25 years, mostly working with the Public Sector, but also with major UK retailers. Andy has been close to key networking challenges such as GSI, Police Networks, PSN & Gcloud while pioneering fixed mobile convergence.
More recently Andy has been working with AI, Voice Biometrics and identity in the public sector arena while working closely with UK law enforcement to see how technology can help to make the internet a safer place
This has included working with the SME community, Andy has brought approximately 15 UK SME’s into the Verizon eco-system either as partners, suppliers or referrals. These have ranged from AI to rapid code development.
