Chief Data Officer, City of Boston

Boston

Meet Boston’s first Chief Data Officer, Andrew Therriault. He was appointed by Mayor Walsh to lead the analytics team in shifting the city’s stance from reactive to proactive. The next phase of data science focuses on predicting behavior in order to prevent unwanted or even disastrous events before they happen. Therriault hopes to bring technologies that drive these programs, like machine learning, to Boston.
