Andrei is a partner at 500 Startups, where he invests in seed-stage companies and helps them scale their businesses. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer at Ring and Viddy. Previously, Andrei was the first marketing hire at Hulu, where he helped to launch and scale the Hulu Plus business to over 3M subscribers and a $500M annual revenue run rate. Earlier in his career, he was VP marketing at MOG (acquired by Beats Music) and product manager at myFICO. He holds an MBA from The Walter A. Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, an M.S. from Caltech, and a B.S. from Purdue University.
Andrei’s growth marketing experience spans customer acquisition and retention, including conversion rate optimization (CRO), paid acquisition (SEM and display), SEO, email marketing, product marketing, market research, usability testing, branding & messaging, and analytics.
