Amy VanHaren is the CEO and founder of pumpspotting, a technology platform solving the pain points of breastfeeding at work and everywhere else. Amy’s focus on fusing community and technology to improve outcomes in breastfeeding and maternal health stems from her combined background in building virtual connections and spending hours (and hours!) tethered to a breast pump. She faced deep isolation while trying to navigate working and breastfeeding and the experience drove her to create a platform that makes it easier for women to feed both family and career.
Amy has 20 years experience in digital and social media marketing, running VanHaren Creative, her marketing agency, and working at Patagonia Provisions, Amy's Kitchen and Vistaprint. Amy has pitched on a moving escalator on Apple’s reality TV show, traveled cross-country to meet thousands of mothers in her Breast Express RV, and taken up a position on the board of the Maine State Breastfeeding Coalition.
