Amanda Litman is the cofounder and executive director of Run for Something, a political action committee helping young, diverse progressives run for local office.
Run for Something has elected more than 200 young people to local office all across the country -- more than half of those winners are women, around half are people of color, and 15 percent identify as LGBTQ.
