Alyssa Penner has counseled countless students and professionals on proven career-building strategies during her ten year career in higher education career services and employer relations. As a Career Coach at General Assembly, Alyssa supports people from all backgrounds as they transform their lives and transition into careers in software engineering, UX design, and data science. Previously, Alyssa managed science and engineering career programs and partnerships at UCLA. She also worked in career coaching and academic advising at University of Washington, where she earned her Masters in Social Work. She is especially passionate about transforming our educational system to support women and underrepresented populations pursuing careers in STEM.
