Allyson is currently the Lead UX Designer at the healthcare startup Gravie. She started her professional career working as a Researcher in a clinical psychology lab at the University of Iowa. Unable to ignore her itch to be more visually creative, she moved to New York to study metalsmithing. She then worked in NYC as a costume jewelry designer, specializing in 3D modeling/printing. Her move to UX has managed to merge her interests in aesthetics and research, and satisfy her desire to solve meaningful problems for real people.
Now living in the upper Midwest, Allyson spends half of the year outdoors as much as possible; gardening, biking, and having picnics with her family. When forced indoors she enjoys baking and getting some time in at her jewelers bench
