Lex is an entrepreneur passionate about the intersection of financial services, new media and technology. He heads up Fintech Strategy at Autonomous Research, and has operating and board-level experience in roboadvice, personal finance and digital wealth management. Lex holds a JD/MBA from Columbia University, and is also a digital media artist, fascinated by recurrent neural networks and creative AI.
In 2010, Lex founded NestEgg Wealth, a first-generation B2C roboadvisor before the term had any meaning. Today, online wealth management is an element of strategy for each and every financial institution. His second company Vanare (which acquired NestEgg) is serving tens of thousands of accounts through a SaaS model in partnership with the industry. B2C failed, but the company didn’t.
