    Owner, Meat on the Street

    San Francisco

Siblings owners, Alexa and Matt, decided working in a 20’ by 8’ box was a good idea. Meat on the Street, Milwaukee’s first Filipino food truck, began in June of 2014. After three food truck seasons of slinging BBQ sticks and pork adobo, construction began on their next venture. Meat on the Street’s food stall brick and mortar opened in November of 2016 at ELEVEN25 food hall, an old Pabst Brewery building, in Milwaukee. "Food is love in our household," you will hear Alexa say. This is where Meat on the Street came from, growing up eating traditional Filipino cuisine from her father, Raymund.

Alexa Alfaro has received multiple accolades and speaking events, most recently being a featured speaker for Trek Bicycle's Innovation Summit and receiving a Milwaukee community award, The Jackens Award: Risk Taker.

Alexa is grateful for her brothers and parents (working with/ for your family is never easy), her besties, family German Shepherd, curse words, coffee, and Nordstrom’s shoe department.
