Alex is a Data Scientist and Business Analyst with a background in International Affairs and Economics and a self-proclaimed "math nerd" long before "defecting" to data science. After seeing the importance of good research and analysis during her masters program at Tufts University she decided to get more additional technical training, and after testing the waters with some general programming classes, she decided to make a bigger change and entered the Data Science Immersive (DSI) program with General Assembly.

Upon graduation, Alex worked with Dobility in their Data/BI department, where she conducted in-depth data analysis and worked closely with Senior Management to share key findings and recommendations. In this role, she also created and implemented new systems and tools - focusing on automation and syncing of data repositories.

Alex is proud to be living proof of how the DSI program can change lives and set students up for success. She is thrilled to be back in the classroom as the Local Instructor for the Data Science Immersive program in Boston and happy to be helping students feel confident and prepared to enter the world as full-fledged Data Scientists.

Outside the classroom and away from the computer, Alex enjoys playing rugby and board games, reading in a hammock, and going on adventures with her wife and dog.
