Ordermark CEO, Alex Canter, is the fourth-generation owner and operator of Canter's Deli, an historic, 86-year old deli in Los Angeles. In 2013, he recognized the potential of online ordering and experimented at Canter’s, increasing revenue of that segment of his business to what is now over 30%. Realizing technology and processes involved were complicated and time consuming for restaurateurs, Canter created Ordermark in January 2017, to erase this burden for restaurants everywhere. Partnering with Epson, Ordermark streamlines many of the nearly 180 online ordering companies across the country, aggregating orders and increasing revenue.
Canter’s passion for Food Technology is revolutionizing the world of online ordering. Canter enhanced his from-the-ground-up lifelong skills in his family’s restaurant management, including a menu redesign, new point of sale (POS) system, and new mobile-friendly website, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Canter further solidified his skill sets as CEO of Red Lights, LLC and Rebel Kitten, LLC, both in Madison, Wisconsin, and COO of CrowFood in Los Angeles. Resuming work with his family at Canter’s Deli, Canter served as Director of Business Development. Canter is a highly sought-after speaker on the topic of restaurant modernization and online ordering.
