Alessandro Bahgat is a generalist Software Engineer with a passion for both the technical and business challenges of building products in the Internet age.
After a brief stint in Academia, he spent a few years as a consultant, being exposed to a wide variety of technologies and domains. His responsibilities included scaling e-commerce websites to withstand holiday season peak traffic, leading teams of developers towards the adoption of state of the art technologies and training interns and new hires on Java and Python programming.
Right now he can be found at Google in Cambridge, where he is working on products in the travel space. When he is not writing code for work, he is likely to be doing it for fun on his own projects.
