Maria Alejandra Carrero is a passionate millennial who believes in changing consciousness through fashion. Alejandra holds a BA in fashion communication and currently pursuing her two year MBA at Babson College. Alejandra first job at the age of 17, was at F.A.O for the United Nations coordinating projects for rural areas where she falls in love with the human rights activism and empowering women in small communities. A few years later, she developed her career in the tech world working with growing fortune 500 companies as Project Manager, IT Account Manager and head of HR. Currently, Alejandra has dedicated the last 7 years to study and research about the sustainable impact and ethical practices in the fashion industry after she experienced child labor and women over work exhaustion from a former wholesale partner in China back in 2011.
In 2015, Futurewear is the first fashion database in the USA and LATAM to bring consumers ethics & sustainability upfront in an easy format to digest. In 2018, Futurewear offers millennials stylish and ethical apparel among all e-commerce clothing retailers, by providing industry experts curating our products with one-stop-shop. They are looking for subscribers who would like to be part of the first beta launch.
