Alec is the Head of People Operations at Spaceship, where he leads the business in everything related to People, Culture and Talent Acquisition.
He began his career in London in technical recruitment, before moving to Sydney and establishing himself as a data science recruitment expert. During this period, he developed a tendency to ramble on about stuff, which led him to give several talks on ‘How to Become a Data Scientist’ - the topic of his articles that featured on KDnuggets and Hacker News (2016 Top Ten Most Viewed on the former; trended at No.1 on the latter).
Alec then left the world of third-party recruitment to join Freelancer.com, where he progressed to lead People Operations globally. More recently, he joined Spaceship to drive ambitious growth plans, while establishing systems and processes to help the business scale.
