Ája brings more than 12 years of healthcare experience focused on enabling clients to transform their healthcare services and financial footprint through bridging technologies, innovative business solutions, and effective healthcare strategy. She has led engagements and product development in medical device, pharmaceutical, provider, government (Federal and State), and international sectors. Her expertise lies in the areas of information technology strategy, SaaS program development, health analytics, strategic planning and marketing, organization redesign, and product innovation. Ája has in-depth knowledge of public health/population management, public/private partnerships, grant management, patient engagement (mobile and program), and hospital operations. Ája is also cross-trained in Cerner and Epic healthcare information technology solutions.
Prior to joining doing independent consulting with health tech startups, Ája was the first Director of the newly formed Health Strategy practice at Huron Consulting and provided healthcare consulting services at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where she provided subject matter expertise for new venture business development, commercial strategy, and operations optimization in the areas of mobile health, health analytics, cross-industry service offerings, and technology-enabled solutions. Prior to Deloitte, Ája’s positions have included roles as Sales Executive, Strategist, Global Marketing Manager, and Implementation Consultant at Cerner Corporation, Manager of the Cardiovascular State Health Program at the Office of Public Health-New Orleans, Strategic Marketing Analyst at Abbott Laboratories-Hospital Division (now Hospira), and Hospital Administrator at Children’s Hospital-New Orleans.
