Abhishek completed his PhD in Finance from The University of Sydney and spent several years working with large financials datasets as both a quantitative analyst and later, a portfolio manager. Eventually the datasets got too large and too complicated to be tackled by traditional databases which sparked his interest in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Six months ago, Abhishek decided to leave finance behind and enrolled in General Assembly's Data Science Immersive program. For his capstone project he worked with a startup to predict the likelihood of accidents among Uber drivers.
Abhishek is a Data Scientist in BCG Digital Ventures' Engineering team, building scalable AI solutions to tackle challenging business problems. When he's not eyes deep in code you'll find him exercising the right side of his brain as a travel photographer or finishing off one more level of Super Mario Odyssey.
