About This Event

Network with the City of Santa Monica's Office of Sustainability and Environment and other businesses to achieve sustainable goals around the triple bottom line: Environment, Economy, and Equity

*Event Format:

Eight roundtables will take place on topics ranging from simple retrofits to lower utility bills, to mandatory AB1826 Organics Recycling, and how to avoid "green washing."

*Attendees will participate in two interactive roundtable discussions.

Sustainable Works

Sustainable Works’ mission and purpose is to educate and activate community members at large through our student curriculum, interactive events and Green Business Programs - including Santa Monica Green Business Certification. We inspire people to perform actions and make purchasing choices with the aim reduce their ecological footprint on the earth. Sustainable Works has been a key player at the forefront of the sustainability movement in Southern California since 1998. We have had the privilege of partnering with the City of Santa Monica -the first city in the USA to implement a comprehensive Sustainable City Plan! Sustainable Works was created to engage the community in the goals and strategies of Santa Monica's Sustainable City Plan (SCP), developed by the City’s Task Force on the Environment and approved by City Council in 1994.

Refund Policy

We understand that, sometimes, plans change. If you can no longer make it to a class or workshop, please email us at least 7 days before the scheduled event date. No refunds will be given to cancellations made within a week of the class or workshop.
