Junaid Husain leads Greater Houston Healthconnect as its Chief Business Officer. Mr. Husain is a 20-year healthcare veteran, former management consultant, and ex-Wall Street Analyst. He brings extensive experience in medical technology, digital health, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, hospitals, health systems, and healthcare services. His career includes leadership roles in management, finance, and operations.
An enthusiastic entrepreneur, Mr. Husain has worked for seven start-up companies in the medical device, genomics, biochemical manufacturing, digital health, financial services, and higher education industries—including three companies he’s founded.
A national speaker and author on healthcare investments, digital health, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Mr. Husain is a thought-leader on the evolving dynamics of healthcare.

Kimon Angelides is the founder of four healthcare companies: Vivante, EsoHealth which became Livongo and debuted in July 2019 with a $355M IPO at a $4.4B valuation, DiabetesAmerica, a network of diabetes centers that pioneered bundled payment models, and mAbGen, a cancer biotech company that partnered with world-renowned MDAnderson Cancer Center and was acquired by Valeant Pharmaceuticals.
Kimon recently received the digital health Founder of the Year Award from Rock Health, Goldman Sachs, and PacWest Bank for his contributions and work in digital medicine. Kimon’s newest company, Vivante Health, was created in early 2016 to tackle the needs of people who have invisible and stigmatized diseases, starting with digestive health and are those who have fallen through the cracks in the healthcare system. The company takes a multidisciplinary approach using digital therapeutics, diagnostics and discovery medicine, devices, and predictive analytics, all taken to enhance outcomes.
Prior to his healthcare career, Kimon was Director of Strategic Development at St Luke’s/Texas Heart Institute, Professor and Chair of Cell Biology and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Durham in the UK building the pre-clinical services for the new medical school, Professor of Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biophysics at Baylor College of Medicine, and Associate and Assistant Professor at the University of Florida and McGill University. Kimon has served on the National Medical Advisory Boards of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the National Institutes of Health. Kimon was Research Career Development Award from the NIH, a Mombusho Scholar of Japan, Distinguished Professor at INSERM/Centre National de Recherche Scientifique of France, and a Basil O’Connor Scholar from the March of Dimes Birth Defect Foundation. He has published over 100 papers and holds more than 40 patents. He received a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California and has done graduate study in business, laws, and public health.
Smriti Agrawal Zaneveld

Dr. Smriti Agrawal Zaneveld is the Founder and Research Director at Lazarus 3D. Prior to joining Lazarus 3D full-time in 2018, Dr. Zaneveld completed her Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine where her research focused on identifying the genetic causes of inherited eye diseases and developed novel therapeutic treatments for ocular disorders. She has a proven track record as a successful scientist with over a dozen scientific publications in the areas of human genetics and 3D printing and adds valuable depth to Lazarus 3D’s team. She has also mentored numerous trainees, presented at many international scientific/medical conferences, and has served as a reviewer for scientific peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Zaneveld is very passionate about development of innovative technologies in medicine using 3D printing that can improve patient care and surgery outcomes.
