About this event series
The Purple Monkey Game Jam is a theme-based, non-competitive game jam spanning a full weekend where game makers can come together to practice their craft and learn from each other. A surprise theme will be announced at the beginning of the event and participants can then find a team or work alone to build a game based on the theme by the end of the weekend.
Breakfast snacks and full lunch will be provided both days. Dinner will be provided on Saturday.

Prereqs & Preparation
Participants should bring any tools they will need to build a game. Computers, monitors, input devices, etc will not be provided. However, “video games” are not an explicit requirement. Creators are encouraged to experiment with the medium. If you are a non-technical type, you may consider creating a tabletop game or other unique experience to share.
