Virtual Reality is finally here. After decades of being dreamt by science fiction writers and slowly progressing in the workshops of inventors and scientist, VR is finally hitting the mainstream.
While VR using headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive can be amazing, most consumers aren't ready to fork over several hundred dollars to purchase these high-end devices. So until the price significantly drops, we're going to have WebVR where anyone can experience virtual reality environments in their browser on their computers or mobile devices.
In this class, we’ll go over everything you need to know about WebVR and A-Frame, the language developed by the Mozilla team for WebVR. By the end of the class, you are going to have the knowledge and resources to create beautiful and unique WebVR environments. You’ll be able to add objects, put in sound and video, and create virtual reality projects for the web that you’ll be proud to share with the world.
We'll also discuss all the applications for WebVR, the main issues facing developers and consumers, and how you can be among the first developers in this amazing space.
