Happy Hour: Celebrate National Voter Registration Day | Online

On September 27, 2016, volunteers, celebrities, and organizations from all over the country will “hit the streets” for National Voter Registration Day. This single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts will create pervasive awareness of voter registration opportunities. Tech:NYC, #TechTurnsOut, and General Assembly are hosting a happy hour on National Voter Registration Day to celebrate a day of registering new voters and to ensure everyone turns out on election day. Currently, New York’s voter registration percentage is among the worst in the country and we don’t do much better when it comes to turnout. General Assembly and Tech:NYC believe the technology community can play a role in changing those numbers here in New York and throughout the country.
