About This Workshop

For E-commerce and businesses online today, content is key. In this interdisciplinary workshop, we will conduct an overview of existing content strategies, user experience, discovery, and metrics in current business models. We will define best practices and participate in a sprint to creatively collaborate on alternate content strategies, product features, merchandising and marketing tactics for an existing or fictional business.

Prereqs & Preparation

  • Open to all levels.
  • Bring a laptop, writing materials and access to Google docs.
  • Come with ideas & inspiration! This bootcamp is best suited if you have an idea for an E-commerce business, digital landscape, content strategy or a product to focus on for development. This bootcamp functions as a practical seminar to brainstorm and apply ideas in small groups.

Vanessa (also known as “V”) Herman is a commerce & content professional. With 13+ years of experience in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Retail, Operations, Editorial and Content Creation, she has worked at Google Express, Restoration Hardware, ABC, CBS, Spirit Airlines and on projects such as Yahoo’s “WHO KNEW” and NBC’s “SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE”.

V grew up with the L.A. vibe, loving theatre and television, which led her to New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study for her undergraduate degree. When she’s not working, she enjoys shopping local to find wonderful artists & artisans, riding her bike, and practicing Reiki, working with women recovering from breast cancer for The Shanti Project and various community members at SF Reiki Center.
