About this workshop

A rhubarb studios production

Learn to fly a drone, before they take over the world! That might seem a little dramatic, but people everywhere are redefining business and hobbies with the help of drones - from professional photographers, to big wave surfers, right through to Amazon and Google.

This workshop will open up the possibilities of drone flying. Always hands on with the drones (provided), and with a maximum of 8 students in the class, you’ll be flying within the first 10 minutes of class. You’ll develop your skills as a pilot in a massive indoor obstacle flying course in downtown LA’s newest tech hub, rhubarb studios - and you’ll receive footage of your flight in action.

Your session will include:

  • 90 min (3 x 30 minute) flight sessions - learning introductory knowledge about how to fly drones and quadcopters, including takeoff and landing
  • Basics of drones and quadcopters, including repairs
  • How to fly your drone safely and legally within today’s complex regulations
  • Flying and maneuvering around obstacles

Completing the Drone Flying course enables you to access our more advanced course, Drone Building. During the workshop you will have the chance to win a special discount to Drone Building.
