About this workshop

I am working on getting your bootcamp added to the website, but I need a bit of help from you in regards to the class description, title and takeaways (I want to ensure it fits what you plan on teaching!). I would love your feedback/edits to the info below. Especially the following: -- Can we trim the takeaways down to 6 items? -- Prerequisites (do they need to create, download, read/watch, or bring anything)?

Title: Career Shift Crash Course

One Sentence Overview (180 Characters): In this workshop you'll learn the top resume and interviewing tips and strategies to set yourself apart in today's ever-changing job market.

About This Class: Are you just starting out in the "real world"? Or do you feel stuck in a career you no longer love? Are you bored, underutilized, or suffocated at the office? It's time to make a change! In this experiential and interactive workshop, you'll learn how to utilize your professional strengths and leverage the tools that will make you stand out in today's ever-changing job market.

We'll focus on modern resume best practices in both content and format. We'll deep dive into trends in wording, design, and creating your personal narrative that best displays your transferable skills. We'll also address the do's and don'ts as well as common myths when restructuring your resume. Students will learn how to navigate the often anxiety-inducing interview process. They will gain tools and techniques to help them best prepare for job interviews. More specifically, students will walk away with an understanding of how to communicate effectively, answer challenging questions, and make their pitch during the interview setting.

This workshop would benefit career changers, recent grads, or anyone returning to the job hunt after years in the same position/field.
