Our working group's goal is to learn to design and code smart contracts, with an emphasis on language exploration and understanding. Initially, we plan to focus on the following 2 languages and platforms (but we would welcome any others):

1 - Ethereum/Solidity ( https://solidity.readthedocs.io/en/develop/introduction-to-smart-contracts.html ) 2 - RChain/Rholang ( https://rchain-architecture.readthedocs.io/en/latest/contracts/contract-design.html#rholang-a-concurrent-language )

Understanding Ethereum and Solidity should provide us the context within which to better understand other platforms and languages, and specifically: Rholang. Rholang is the Turing complete language based on Greg Meredith's Reflexive Higher Order Calculus (the RHO Calculus); a new mobile process calculus that Greg conceived of for building scalable blockchains. RChain is a Seattle Area blockchain startup that has its sights set on building a scalable blockchain.
