About this workshop

You want to love what you do but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be paid fairly for it. A dream job quickly becomes a slog when you are feeling undervalued financially. But how to do get there? How do you make sure you are getting the best offer that a company can make you?

Very few people are comfortable talking about money and it’s compounded by the fact that that discomfort doesn't go away just because you become a hiring manager or work in HR. The best shot you have at ending up with a salary that makes you feel valued, is to learn how to take control the conversation. And that conversation is a delicate thing, the difference between being perceived as knowing your worth and being greedy is often in when and how you discuss the salary you want. In this workshop, you will learn how to lay the groundwork for that conversation from your first contact with a potential new employer.

I’ll walk you through how to determine, backup and best communicate your salary requests. We will discuss the other things you want to consider and what else you can, and can’t negotiate. I’ll walk you through strategies for countering a low offer, handling multiple offers and when to accept and when to just walk away.
