Mikaal Abdulla is the co-founder and CEO of 8 Securities, Asia's first socially networked trading portal with offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo. 8 Securities was recently selected as finalist at TechCrunch Disrupt in Beijing, a top 5 startup in Asia by Amazon Web Services and one of "7 Chinese Startups to put on the radar in 2012" by Inc. 8 Securities has closed $12MM USD in funding. Prior to launching his company, Mikaal ran international marketing for E*TRADE, a global S&P 500 company, across 15 geographies. Mikaal's international experience includes launching and managing successful businesses and products across Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, India and the United States. Mikaal holds an M.B.A from both Columbia University and the London Business School. He writes about startups, digital marketing and UX for several Asia technology blogs and is a mentor at Chinaccelerator and Startups HK.
