Jon Sutcliffe is a technology partner at Kingston Smith LLP. His clients range from start up companies through to small cap companies, which he helps by advising on, and subsequently implementing, tax structures and IP protection for investment and, ultimately, exit. Jon finds it particularly rewarding when helping an early stage business – whether it’s a start-up or an international company new to the UK – achieve the right structure, allowing it to grow with all the support it needs. What’s more, he maintains that helping them expand overseas is even better! In this respect, he has been involved in a number of key projects at the early stage, which have included pre-investment tax structuring and the subsequent attainment of Enterprise Investment Scheme approval for investors.
