John loves all things Data Science and Machine Learning. A recent alumnus of Stanford University's Data Mining and Applications Graduate program, John actively participates in Kaggle Predictive Analytics competitions. He also consults for burgeoning startups in the Santa Monica and LA ecosystem like BridgeHaul as well as larger organizations such as the Center for Biological Diversity. In addition, he has helped out with the number crunching related to some high-profile legal cases where pattern recognition and detection across massive data sets played an important role. John originally developed his quant skills by way of work in risk management for UBS at its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, which he later refined as a research analyst for the Princeton Economics Group. His favorite reads include Robert Greene's “Mastery”, Frederick Mosteller's “The Pleasures of Statistics”, and Nate Silver's “The Signal and the Noise”.
