Dr. Hari Thadakamalla

Dr. Hari Thadakamalla has been at the forefront of data science and analytics since 2007. He currently works as a senior principal data scientist at TripAdvisor, where he manage a team of data scientists on applying machine learning algorithms for revenue optimization, search engine marketing, facebook advertising etc. Before joining TripAdvisor, he worked at Oracle; there, he solved challenging business problems for retailers by using advanced modeling and machine learning techniques for store clustering, pricing, and markdown optimization. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and a Master's degree in Mathematics from Penn State, was invited by the Ministry of Science and Research in Düsseldorf, Germany to present his research, and has had several papers published in top peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
