Chris Tseng

Data Science Instructor, General Assembly

San Francisco

Chris Tseng has been teaching in most of his career. He has been a technical trainer in various hi-tech companies and also teaches in colleges for many years. He was recently a technical trainer in DataStax and offered training in big data and analytics. He has taught week long to semester long technical subjects ranging from data science, machine learning, web technology, to programming languages.

He graduated with degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chris is enthusiastic about promoting and volunteering in programming and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math). As a Space Cookies volunteer, he helps on coding and design for an all girl robotics team. He led a team of young students in a disadvantaged school on learning how to program a robot and won a project award in an annual First Lego League (FLL) competition. While he is not teaching, Chris enjoys cooking and practices Taichi.
