Carey Anne Nadeau is the Founder and CEO of Open Data Nation (opendatanation.com), a women-owned B-Corp, on a mission to bring machine learning to 100 US cities! By compiling purpose-driven data feeds from latent city data and building machine learning models, Open Data Nation helps cities and commercial property and casualty insurers lower risks, ranging from reducing car crashes to foodborne illness outbreaks.
Nadeau previously worked as a Data Analyst for the Brookings Institution and Urban Institute. She was recently named a Fellow at the Halcyon Incubator, a Citibank Tech for Integrity company, and a Creative Economy Ambassador to the Mayor of DC and her work has been featured in the Atlantic, GovTech Magazine, and the Washington Post, among others.
Nadeau holds a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from The George Washington University.
