Bill Ready is CEO of Braintree, an online and mobile payment provider for many of the world’s best, next-generation, e-commerce companies. Prior to joining Braintree, Bill was executive in residence at Accel Partners, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital and growth equity firm that has invested in a number of category defining companies, such as Facebook, Kayak, and Rovio (Angry Birds). A veteran of the payments industry, Bill joined Accel from iPay Technologies, a division of Jack Henry and Associates, where he served as president, guiding the company through a period of rapid revenue and earnings growth and its eventual sale to Jack Henry for $300M. Prior to iPay, Bill worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company in Chicago, providing counsel to a number of leading enterprises in the United States and Asia/Pacific, with a specific emphasis in payments and financial technology.
