Ari Weissman has spent the past 13+ years as a designer, strategist, and educator. Currently serving as a Lead Experience Architect at EffectiveUI in Denver, Ari is an an account lead for clients including Time Warner Cable, Freeman Co., and PwC. Ari led work for both DT and Different in Sydney, Australia and served as an IA & usability specialist focused on educational platform and curriculum tools for K12. His work on AIDS.gov was recognized by the U.S. Director of the Office of HIV/AIDS Policy at Health and Human Services.
Ari is passionate about UX thought leadership and design education. He is a mentor and instructor at EffectiveUI and was lead UX instructor and blogger at General Assemb.ly in Sydney. He is the author of the popular “What Clients Need to Know” series on the EffectiveUI blog (and republished on Medium) and has written for UX Magazine, Medium, and other UX digital publications. His most recent presentations include discussions on ux and user testing at Denver Startup Week 2016 and the future of prototyping at AdobeMAX 2016.
Ari earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, ultimate frisbee, climbing, skiing, hiking, classical music, motorcycles, globe-trotting and puppies.
