Andy is currently a data visualization consultant with Slalom Consulting. He has been on a diverse range of projects in his last eight years as a consultant including government data reporting, mergers, divestments, IT Operations, financial reporting, data visualization, analytics go-to-market, and big data ecosystem implementations. He helps clients bridge the gap between their business needs and their data. Andy enjoys putting himself into the mindset of the users of his data visualizations to come up with interfaces that transform the way they carry out their jobs. His sweet spot seems to be in Alliances, where he builds relationships and facilitates partnerships with data and analytics technology and service providers to create solutions that are bigger than the sum of their parts.
Andy found his way to a computer science degree and then analytics through a non-traditional path that began with two years of study in the humanities. After graduation, Andy started his career as a software engineer in India before switching into the consulting career path to focus on data and analytics. He spent years traveling around the United States before somewhat recently settling into Denver as a permanent home base.
