About This Workshop

This online workshop will provide you with vital information, key insights, strategies, and pitfalls to avoid that will help you establish your ideal remote work-life environment.

Whether you are a recent college grad looking to mix your career with adventure, an accomplished professional with a taste for more freedom, or a single parent looking to spend more time with those who matter most, we will break down the seemingly intimidating task of creating a professionally satisfying remote lifestyle, into simple actionable steps.

During this class, a Digital Nomad experienced in Telecommuting and Remote Entrepreneurship/Freelancing will introduce you to the three most common remote professional lifestyles to help you determine what your ideal professional and personal lifestyle looks like and how to create it.

Takeaways

You will walk away from this workshop knowing:

  • The vocabulary, resources, and basic skills that every location independent worker should have
  • How to decide which type of remote lifestyle is best for you (and how to decide which isn't)
  • How to avoid the most costly mindsets, travel, and business pitfalls
  • A complete outline of the three most common location-independent lifestyles (Digital Nomads, Telecommuters, and Remote Entrepreneurs/Freelancers)
  • The actionable steps needed to take your ideal lifestyle from a dream to an everyday reality
  • How to thrive in the remote job hunt (with an emphasis on how to beat the dreaded Applicant Tracking Systems)

About the Instructor

Laura Kunigonis Photo

Online Marketing Producer | Remote Work Consultant | Location-Independent Work Enthusiast

Laura Kunigonis is a Digital Nomad fostering business development and lifestyle changes from all over the world.

Having grown up back and forth between the US and Europe with two mechanical engineers as parents and one doctor as an older sister (yes, her family is fun at parties) for Laura, two things will forever be ingrained in her life: grit and travel.

She earned a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and participated in research exploring the ties between migration and economic advancement in developing countries during her early career and later transitioned into business consulting for fortune 150 companies.

A few years into building up a repertoire of experience working on business development with clients of all sizes while living under the traffic-office-traffic grind, Laura decided to take the plunge into remote work in the hope that it would be the inspiration and productivity supercharge that she was looking for. Since then, she has been spearheading marketing for General Assembly’s Online team, doing freelance work with companies developing their own remote teams, and being a consultant/speaker, all completely remotely.

When she isn’t on a video call with a client or running from terminal to terminal at your local airport, you can always find her sketching out her next piece of art.
